Earth Day Giveaway!

*Edit at the bottom!

Aaron works outside everyday, traveling from house to house, diagnosing and fixing "pool problems". Because he is visiting customer's homes, and isn't usually in prime location for stopping to get lunch, I pack a sandwich, cereal, chips, cookies, a multitude of assorted snacks and an "I love you" note for him. Daily. The other guys at work ask their wives why they can't pack their lunches like I pack for Aaron. The wives hate me, the men want to be married to me. Sorry fellas, I'm taken. By a man who appreciates a great peanut butter and marshmellow fluff sandwich.

Because I am trying to be more Earth Friendly (right in time for Earth Day!), I am teaming up with Mama Bee to give one of my lucky readers a reuseable sandwich wrap!

Whether you are packing a sandwich for your kids lunch box or to make your husbands co-workers jealous, you will love this wrap! The inside of the wrap is laminated and can be wiped clean, and the velcro closure allows for various sized sandwiches.

I have to give this one away, but you'd better believe I am ordering one for Aaron, one for myself, and matching snack bags (pictured below). Not only are they cute (don't tell Aaron I'm packing cute things in his lunch box), they are better for the enviroment than all of the plastic bags I am ashamed to admit I've thrown away.

Please stop by Mama Bee's Etsy shop or blog and take a look at her items!

To enter the contest, leave a comment below with your plans for celebrating Earth Day, or what you and your family are doing to use less!

*I know I'm not supposed to edit giveaways, but Mama Bee informed me that if you purchase an item from her shop and enter the promotional code "first free stuff", you will receive a FREE GIFT! Thanks, Beth!

Extra comment for each time you twitter, but then come back here and leave another comment.

Contest ends Tuesday, April 28th at 9:00 pm, winner will be notified by email. You don't need to have a blog to enter, just make sure to leave an email address.

Good luck!

Natalie, I'm loving reading your blog.

This may not count, but recycling is really easy in Cincinnati (where we live now). They have "single stream recycling", which means you don't have to sort all your stuff or drive it anywhere. You put it all in one bag and set it out on trash day in a bin. It's amazing. And soooo easy to help not fill landfills!

Those bags are so cute!! I'm going to have to go check them out ASAP!

I don't know if it will happen exactly on Earth Day, but I want to go see the new Disney movie that's coming out on Earth Day.

My roommate and I bring our own bags to the grocery store. We've gotten to be experts at judging how many we'll need. We also like biking places instead of driving when it's nice outside.

Natalie,

You find the cutest things I swear! To save the earth we have rain barrels to collect water for watering plants and other outdoor water stuff. We also cloth diaper, and we recycle!

I am a big user of plastic baggies! This product would be great to use for my daughters lunch. She is learning about recycling in school this week and would absolutely love to have one. It would be great advertisment also!

Oh, what a neat idea. I would love to win this. I would use this for my wraps I make to take to work. I hate using glad wrap cause it is so expensive. Thanks!

I would love this for my work lunches! For Earth Day, I am dimming the lights in my classroom to conserve energy.

What a great idea! Plastic baggies always seemed like such a waste and some tupperware is too bulky to easily tote around. I'm celebrating Earth Day by getting a composter! Yay! It will sit on the porch with the plants. Also heading to the Farmers Market for some local organic produce. Happy Earth Day!

look at you go girlfriend! your blogging is going so well :)

I celebrated by texting my dad happy earth day and telling him to hug a tree. Daily, I use tupperware and reuse my snack bags. I also recycle paper in my classroom and all materials at my house. yeah!

What a neat idea!! I am a mother of 4 children and I hate to think how many baggies I have used in their lifetime (packing lunches, snacks, crafts)! Every little bit helps! Keep up the good work! Jackie,IN

We bring our own bags for shopping, recycle as much as possible, and have made a conscious effort to buy less, or only buy usable items as gifts.

Oh, this is so cool! I really try to use reusable products as much as possible and save disposable plates/napkins/paper towels/diapers etc. for rare special occasions. It's green and thrifty too. This product is right up my alley!

What a neat product! Count me in on the drawing! :) I didn't really "celebrate" earth day, per se, but I did swing by a few of my favorite stores and pick up their reusable shopping bags! Does that count? :)

Hey you! I celebrated Earth Day by celebrating my sister...she shares her b-day with Earth day!! :)

Anyways, I also have super cute PINK reuseable bags and use them when I go to the grocery store. I also picked up a bag from the Gap to use for shopping!! Love all of them!

Plus, I love the sandwich wrap! What a great thing...never even knew they existed!

Such a cute bag!

On Earth Day I decided it was time for me to give up disposable diapers, so I ordered all things cloth diaper. They arrived today and I just put the first one on my babe's bum.
